‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Box Office Prediction: Tom Holland starrer Set To Be The Biggest Opener In Spidey Franchise

As the craze of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” stabilizes at the box office, Hollywood is gearing up to offer another money-spinner with “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” With the final trailer hitting the right note with audiences, the buzz and hype for the superhero flick multiplied, resulting in a tremendous response to the pre-advance sales.

The previous part of Spider-Man (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”) opened to a massive ₹32.67 crore at the Indian box office and prominent trade experts believe the upcoming installment will overtake it to become the biggest opener in the franchise.

“‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is set to be one of the biggest openers of the year and especially among Hollywood films, where the day one looks like a bare minimum of ₹40 crore. It is one of India’s favorite Hollywood superhero franchises, and there’s no doubt it will have a thunderous start. If the promos, the hype and the euphoria around it are anything to go by, it can have a phenomenally long and amazing run,” shares Akkshay Rathie, exhibitor and director of Aashirwad Theatres Pvt Ltd.

Ramesh Bala, the industry tracker from Chennai, also reflects Rathie’s prediction and says that the Hollywood biggie will earn ₹40 crore on its opening day, with gross collections being ₹50 crore.

With an extended four-day opening weekend, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is aiming for ₹120-130 crore, which will ultimately make it the biggest Hollywood grosser of the year in India, surpassing the Christopher Nolan-directed epic.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film features Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo in pivotal roles. It is produced under the banners of Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios and Pascal Pictures.
