Aryan Khan is looking to bring fresh writing talent into the Red Chillies Entertainment fold. Variety India has learnt that the filmmaker is scouting young writers and putting together a pool of talent for his future projects. Following the thundering L response to his debut series, "The Ba***ds of Bollywood", Khan is also keen to be personally involved in writing the next streaming series being developed by the production house.

While details of the upcoming series are being kept tightly under the wraps, Khan is looking to identify emerging writers who can bring fresh perspectives and contemporary storytelling sensibilities to the table. Says a source” The initiative is intended to create a wider pool of talent that Red Chillies can draw from as it develops future projects for the streaming space. Khan is expected to play an active role in the writing process for the next series, rather than limiting his involvement to the direction and overall creative vision.”

Variety India has also learnt that Khan is currently reading scripts and working closely with a team of creative directors who are scouting for new age stories, particularly those centred on young people and their experiences. The search is focused on narratives that reflect changing youth culture, contemporary relationships and the concerns of a generation whose stories are increasingly shaping the streaming landscape. The team is exploring fresh ideas and voices, with the aim of finding material that can be developed into future projects.

"The Ba***ds of Bollywood", which premiered on Netflix in September 2025, marked Khan’s debut as a creator and director. Produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, the series offered a satirical take on the Hindi film industry through the story of an aspiring actor navigating its power structures, rivalries and relationships. Its blend of industry humour, drama and commentary on the workings of Bollywood introduced audiences to Khan’s approach to storytelling.

The latest move suggests that Khan wants to build on that experience by investing in the development process of his upcoming projects. A writers’ pool would allow Red Chillies to consider a broader range of ideas and engage with emerging writers whose work might otherwise struggle to find a platform. It could also give the filmmaker an opportunity to work with writers at an early stage, helping shape concepts and scripts before they move further into development.

For now, the title, premise, cast and release timeline of the next streaming series have not been announced. The identities of the writers being approached and the eventual structure of the proposed writers’ pool also remain undisclosed. However, Khan’s active involvement in script reading and his search for new writing talent point to a concerted effort to develop fresh stories at Red Chillies as he plans his next steps after "The Ba***ds of Bollywood".
