‘Jailer 2’ Box Office: Rajinikanth-starrer Enters ₹700 Crore Club; Becomes Biggest Tamil Global Grosser of All Time
With no major competition at the box office, Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” continued its reign in its second weekend. The comedy actioner currently stands at ₹399.89 crore (gross ₹468.25 crore) in the domestic market, with ₹243.50 crore from international circuits. With global collections at ₹711.75 crore, it has not only surpassed “2.0” (₹691 crore) to become the biggest Tamil global grosser but has also become the first film from Tamil Nadu to cross the ₹700 crore mark. Of the top five all-time grossers, four star Rajinikanth, underscoring Thalaivar’s sheer box-office dominance.

In the domestic market, the film is set to overtake Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar sci-fi project “2.0” (₹407.05 crore) to grab the top spot on the all-time list of Tamil grossers.
While the Original Tamil version of “Jailer 2” raked in ₹280.03 crore, with an average occupancy of 59%, its Telugu and Hindi versions collected ₹75.57 crore and ₹38.69 crore with average occupancies of 48.4% and 20.7%, respectively. Interestingly, it is also Rajinikanth’s second-highest Hindi-dubbed grosser after “2.0” (₹188.23 crore), surpassing “Coolie” (₹37.23 crore).
