‘Koffee with Karan’ Season 9: Watch Party Hosted By Karan Johar Left His Friends Feeling ‘Emotional’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Karan Johar reveals that he hosted a watch party with friends to watch the first episode of “Koffee With Karan Season 9” as the talk show prepares to draw to a close. The filmmaker says the gathering was particularly meaningful because everyone was emotional about the show ending, making it an occasion worth celebrating together.
Speaking about whether he has ever organized a get-together for one of his projects, Johar says, “We did for ‘Koffee With Karan’ just now. We watched episode 1, season 9. It is the episode with Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor.”

Asked how his friends reacted to the episode, Johar says the response was positive, with the group enjoying the experience together. “We all had a great time. Everyone is rather emotional about the fact that the show is ending,” he adds, without revealing the guestlist for the intimate celebration.
“Koffee With Karan” first premiered in 2004 and has run for nine seasons. Johar recently announced that the ninth season would be the show's last, prompting emotional reactions from fans and industry peers. Johar also quips, “I think it warranted a watch party only because we knew it was the very last time that we would be doing this.”

Season 9 is currently streaming and two episodes have already been released. The first episode had Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor as guests, while the second one had Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna spilling the tea on the Koffee couch. The third episode that releases today features Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, with Arjun Kapoor making a surprise appearance.
