Katrina Kaif Talks About Wanting to Do a Villain Role, Tackling the Trolls and Life With Husband Vicky Kaushal
Katrina Kaif has been focusing on herself, her business and her family life. Her last film appearance was in “Merry Christmas,” opposite Vijay Sethupathi, and with no announcements about upcoming projects, everyone is curious about her comeback. However, Kaif is not making it her top priority.
Talking about the kind of project she’d want to do next, the actress opts for a villain role. “I think I’d make a great Maleficent,” she reveals in an interview with Vogue India.
On body-shaming trolls
Reacting to the comments on her appearance at a recent Ambani event where she was brutally treated to a barrage of online hate, the “Namastey London” star says, “We live in a world that wants to blow us around in the ever-changing winds of opinions. I think most people are aware of what a woman’s body goes through after giving birth. And if they still choose to view that body through a harsh lens, it’s a personal choice.” She plans to focus on her life and where she’s headed.

Kaif welcomed her and Vicky Kaushal’s son, Vihaan, on November 7, 2025. The actress is not interested in how people perceive her fitness journey, especially after giving birth. “I have taken a step ahead to something that was a deep desire in my heart, so why would I want to go back? The first few days after I gave birth, it was an indescribable feeling to see Vihaan’s face and know that four years of a tumultuous journey for me and Vicky had led to this. I am very aware of my fitness journey and where my body feels at its most energetic. I will reach there at my own pace.”
Talking about her husband and their life at home, the 43-year-old says, “Vicky is an incredible husband. (...) As a father, he’s been amazing. He has this incredible superpower to be 100 per cent present in the moment with Vihaan and me, even when he is tired and has been working 14, 16 or 18 hours a day. Our romantic dinners and movie nights have taken a backseat for now, but Vicky keeps reminding me that everything will find its own time again.”
