“Avengers: Doomsday” has turned its advance booking campaign into a box office story of its own, with the Marvel Studios film registering major presales milestones months before its December 18 release. Starring Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom, the Anthony and Joe Russo-directed film has generated substantial early demand, while its first trailer became one of the most-watched movie trailers in history. Here are five records and major milestones the film has achieved even before its theatrical debut.

$16.5 Million in the First 24 Hours of Premium-Format Presales

“Avengers: Doomsday” generated $16.5 million in advance ticket sales within its first 24 hours of premium-format bookings in July, according to figures shared with TheWrap by Disney insiders. The sales covered approximately 1,000 premium large-format locations and formed part of Disney’s Infinity Vision initiative.

The figure demonstrated the scale of early demand for the film, with fans securing tickets months before its theatrical release. The campaign also highlighted Disney’s push to direct audiences towards premium-format screens as “Doomsday” prepares to compete with Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Three” during the December holiday period.

Disney Confirms $50 Million in Domestic Presales Three Months Before Release

In September, Disney chief financial officer Hugh Johnston confirmed that “Avengers: Doomsday” had crossed $50 million in domestic advance ticket sales, with approximately three months still to go before its release.

Johnston announced the figure during the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference. Disney also disclosed that more than 70% of those advance sales were for Infinity Vision premium-format screenings.

Unlike some of the larger worldwide presales estimates circulating online, the $50 million figure was publicly confirmed by a senior Disney executive. It remains one of the clearest indicators of the film’s early commercial momentum.

Reportedly Crosses $100 Million in Global Presales

On October 6, box office tracker Global Box Office reported that “Avengers: Doomsday” had crossed $100 million in worldwide advance ticket sales, more than two months before its theatrical release.

The tracker also described the film as the fastest to cross $1 million in presales in both the United Kingdom and Brazil. These are third-party tracking claims rather than independently audited figures released by Disney, and should be attributed accordingly.

The global milestone suggests that interest in the film extends beyond the North American market. However, the unusually early start to its ticket sales means its current presales trajectory should not be directly equated with a conventional opening-weekend forecast.

Reportedly Crosses $125 Million in Advance Ticket Sales

“Avengers: Doomsday” as of October 27, 2026,  has surpassed $125 million in advance ticket sales worldwide. The film is significantly ahead of “Dune: Part Three” in early presales comparisons.

However, Disney has not publicly confirmed this worldwide total. The $125 million figure should therefore be treated as a reported estimate rather than an official studio announcement. An exact, independently verified comparative presales total for “Dune: Part Three” has also not been established in the reporting reviewed. The reported figure nevertheless points to the scale of anticipation surrounding the Marvel film, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 18.

Trailer Records 503 Million Views in 24 Hours

The film’s box office momentum has been accompanied by an enormous response to its marketing campaign. The first full trailer for “Avengers: Doomsday” amassed 503 million views in its first 24 hours, according to figures reported by Variety India in July.

That made it the second-biggest movie trailer launch in history at the time, behind “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, which recorded 719 million views in its first 24 hours. The “Doomsday” trailer also surpassed the previous Disney record holder cited in the report, the 2024 “Deadpool & Wolverine” teaser, which generated 365 million views, including its television broadcast.

The trailer’s performance added to the growing anticipation for the film, which brings together characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Downey Jr. returning to the franchise in the role of Doctor Doom rather than Tony Stark.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to release in theatres on December 18, 2026, the same day as “Dune: Part Three”. With advance sales already generating headlines, the ultimate measure of its commercial performance will come when the film opens worldwide.
