While many actors have a comfort film they return to time and again, Yash's guilty pleasure lies in an entire genre. The “KGF” and “Ramayana” star revealed that action films are his go-to watch, adding that he enjoys almost every kind of cinema, except horror. Although he steers clear of horror films as a viewer, he says he wouldn't mind starring in one if the right script came along.
Speaking about the kind of films he enjoys watching, Yash said, "Action films, anytime. I like all sorts of films. I just don't watch horror. It has nothing to do with fear, but I have never been a great fan of horror movies. Other than that, I watch every other film."

This does not mean he would rule out acting in a horror film. When asked whether he would consider starring in a horror film if the story was right, Yash said, "I don't have a problem with acting. When I am watching the film, it's strange. It is also funny. I don't like to be scared. I just go to the theatre and enjoy a film. But getting scared is not something that I like."
