‘Love & War’: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer prepping for first look (EXCLUSIVE)
The promotional campaign for Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana: Part 1" gathers pace ahead of its Diwali release, and attention is now turning to Ranbir Kapoor's next big-screen outing. Variety India has learned that the makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Love & War" are preparing to unveil the film's first official look in the coming months.

The big look reveal is currently in the works and should be released before "Ramayana: Part 1"'s release on Diwali 2026. While the exact date is still being finalized, the asset is expected to be unveiled in the weeks to come as the team begins building anticipation for the January 21, 2027 release.
The development comes as Ranbir Kapoor recently spoke about both "Ramayana: Part 1" and "Love & War" during his interaction with fans at San Diego Comic-Con, confirming that he is currently working on both projects.
Apart from the lead trio of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the makers have kept the rest of the ensemble cast under wraps. Although alleged look photos of the actors have surfaced on social media in recent months, fans have been advised not to rely on leaked or unofficial images, with the official character reveals now underway.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Love & War" is billed as an intense romantic drama set against the backdrop of military conflict. As for the lead stars, Ranbir Kapoor is anticipating the release of “Ramayana,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari and also featuring Sai Pallavi and Yash. Alia Bhatt’s “Alpha,” which has her in action mode alongside Sharvari, hit the screens earlier in July. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal’s last release was Laxman Utekar’s “Chhaava” (2025), where he starred as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
