Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju-starrer “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” has been dominating the box office for over three weeks in Kerala. Despite competition from biggies like Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “Khalifa” and Dulquer Salmaan-starrer “I’m Game,” it remains the top pick among moviegoers.
The romantic comedy, which is enjoying a phenomenal run, is now on the verge of dethroning “Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra” to become the top Malayalam global grosser of all time.
The film currently stands at ₹292.95 crore, and with no competition, it will soon surpass the Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer fantasy superhero flick (₹301.41 crore).
Currently, among the biggest Malayalam domestic grossers, it trails “Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra” (₹157.04 crore) and “Manjummel Boys” (₹142.08 crore), with a business of ₹138.04 crore. It is expected to surpass the business of Soubin Shahir-starrer “Manjummel Boys” this weekend.
