Jason Sanjay’s Directorial Debut ‘Sigma’ Trailer Teases a High-Stakes Heist Adventure With Sundeep Kishan
The official trailer for Jason Sanjay's debut directorial "Sigma" has been released. It shows the planning of a heist amidst an action-packed setting. Sundeep Kishan, as the lead protagonist, is a fearless maverick who refuses to play by the rules as he pursues an ambitious dream. Combining treasure-hunt thrills with the tension of a heist, the film brings together high-stakes action, adventure and humor.
The trailer begins with Faria Abdullah telling a serious Sundeep Kishan, “Be thankful you are alive today. What if something happened?” It then goes on to explain the world of the movie, introducing Kishan’s character as he finds himself caught up in a dangerous heist. As the stakes rise, the trailer teases a series of twists and confrontations. It also highlights the chemistry and comic moments as it introduces the other characters.

The 2-minute-and-16-second video also features intense moments as Kishan’s character gets drawn deeper into the dangerous world. At one point, a voice over emphasizes the connection between two of the film’s central elements, stating, “Gambling and drugs are the two sides of the same coin.” In the teaser, which was released in December last year, Kishan's character was heard saying, "Land, water, air and most of all money, their value keeps increasing. But when it comes to us and our people and us, we're nothing," emphasizing on the film’s underlying theme of inequality.
The movie, releasing on October 2, has a star cast that includes Kishan, Abdullah, alongside Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Magalakshmi, Sheela Rajkumar, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda. The music is composed by Thaman S, with the lyrics penned by Vivek.
Jason Sanjay, Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister Vijay's son, is making his debut as a director with this film. While promoting the movie in Hyderabad, he said, "Sigma is like a treasure hunt, and all the commercial elements are there in this film. It’s a complete fun ride, and it’s like an adventure."

When asked about his decision to chose direction over acting, the debutante filmmaker also explained, "I get to work not just with artists, but I love working with all the departments of filmmaking. That’s another reason I chose direction."
