‘Sigma’: Thalapathy Vijay’s Son Jason Sanjay’s Directorial Debut Gets New Release Date; Film to release on October 2
By Sakshi Navare,
Sundeep Kishan’s “Sigma,” which marks the directorial debut of Thalapathy Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, has once again been postponed. The action-adventure heist thriller was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on July 23, but was shifted to August as Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan” released on the same date.
Now, the makers have shifted the release to October 2. While the film has locked the national holiday date of Gandhi Jayanti and has no big competition in the Tamil market, the same day will see the arrival of Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam 3,” Tom Cruise’s “Digger” and Veer Pahariya’s “Prem Keetanu” (the official adaptation of Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s Malayalam hit “Premalu”)
With competition from multiple releases, it would be interesting to see how “Sigma” fares at the box office.
