While Ranveer’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi, was an underdog in the prequel, in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, he is strong and one of the most powerful personalities of Lyari.
Apart from Singh, Dhurandhar 2 also sees R. Madhavan (as Ajay Sanyal), Arjun Rampal (as Major Iqbal), Sanjay Dutt (as SP Chaudhary Aslam), Rakesh Bedi (as Jameel Jamali), Danish Pandor (as Uzair Baloch) and Sara Arjun (as Yalina Jamali) among others reprising their roles.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, it is bankrolled by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios. Unlike the prequel, the spy action thriller will also be released in dubbed versions of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. It is set to hit the screens on 19th March, during the festive weekend of Eid and will clash with another pan-India biggie, Toxic, which stars Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Kyle Paul and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.
