On Prabhas’s 47th birthday, the makers of “Fauzi” shared the teaser for their upcoming period action drama that is set against the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence.
The glimpse opens with a fictionalized portrayal of Subhash Chandra Bose meeting the dictator of Germany, Adolf Hitler, during World War II and asking for his support in India’s fight for Independence. In the powerful conversation between the two personalities, Bose refers to an Indian master spy whose methods, inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, have become a challenge for the British government.
The frame then shifts to Prabhas’s action mode, where he prepares for an attack with a heavy machine gun, accompanied by a voice-over in which he declares his fight against the British and vows to take back the freedom they have denied for so long.

The big-budget project also stars Imanvi alongside veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhanu Chander, Subodh Bhave and Jaya Prada in pivotal roles.
While earlier the film was scheduled to release on December 3, 2026, it will now hit the screens on March 19, 2027.
The postponement comes amid reports of pending post-production work, with the additional time expected to be used to complete the large-scale production. Speaking about the delay, Ravi Shankar apologised to the audience and stressed that the team wanted more time to complete the film. He also compared Prabhas’ look and the scale of "Fauzi" to the actor’s ‘Baahubali films.
"‘Fauzi’ is being pushed back a little bit, but it’s a next-level movie. You haven’t seen brother Prabhas look so grand since ‘Baahubali.’ It’s a movie of that scale," Ravi Shankar said. "You will cherish it for a lifetime. It’s such a massive and great movie."
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi (of “Sita Ramam” fame), the film is presented by T-Series and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, who has collaborated with the filmmaker on his previous projects.
