Prabhas’ Birthday Surprises: ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Sequel Teased, ‘Fauzi’ Unveils New Poster
Prabhas turned 47 on October 23, and the makers of “Kalki 2898 AD” shared a surprise video stating that his character Bhairava will be back for a sequel. Director Nag Ashwin shared a caption on social media, stating, “To the superhero of Indian Cinema…Happy Birthday to the Darling of every generation, Rebel Star #Prabhas. We are excited to embark on another epic cinematic journey with you…#Kalki2898AD.”
Not just that, the makers of “Fauzi” shared a poster of Prabhas on the occasion, stating, “Declassifying File Num : #25 ‘Who is he?' - will be answered today with the video. Happy Birthday, #Fauzi #Prabhas25 #HappyBirthdayPrabhas Rebel Star #Prabhas.” The poster also states, “Prabhas In and As ‘Fauzi.’"

The clip, which is 32 seconds long, offers a glimpse of the blue-screen setup for Bhairava’s return. Opening with the words ‘Bhairava is back,’ the video captures Prabhas arriving on the specially assembled set in his character’s signature armor. He then settles into his vehicle, Bujji, before director Ashwin calls ‘action.’ ‘Happy Birthday Bhairava’ also flashes in the video as the makers share closer glimpses of Prabhas.
While the official release date of “Kalki 2898 AD” is yet to be announced, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan have reportedly returned to the sets for the sequel. While they are back as Ashwatthama and Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone shall not return as SUM-80.

The new poster shows a gold coin with a portrait of Prabhas in uniform. It has the Hindi inscription Agyataparva ("The Hidden Chapter") and the text "Most Wanted Since 1932.” Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the period action-drama features Prabhas as a soldier fighting under the British regime with the tagline “A Battalion Who Fights Alone.” The movie is expected to arrive in March 2027, but no official date has been revealed.
