Harshvardhan Rane Starrer ‘Silaa’ Release Date Announced, New Posters Showcase Fresh Looks (EXCLUSIVE)
Harshvardhan Rane-starrer “Silaa,” the upcoming romantic action film by director Omung Kumar, has finally confirmed a release date. The project, which sees Sadia Khateeb, Karan Veer Mehra and Ipsitaa star alongside Rane, has also exclusively shared two new posters featuring Rane’s look from the film with Variety India. Described as a passionate tale of love and revenge set against the backdrops of Kashmir and Vietnam, the film will release in theaters on February 5, 2027.
Promising gripping mystery and high-octane action, “Silaa” has Rane play Virat, a character that appears to demand the intense physicality that the actor is known for. Calling it “the most challenging and exciting journey” for him as an actor, Rane shares, “There is so much more to Virat than what meets the eye; he is a man driven by love, but when circumstances take an unexpected turn, he is pushed into a world where survival becomes just as important as finding the person he loves.”

He further elaborates on the demands of the role. “The action, the locations and the emotional intensity of the film demanded a lot from me, both physically and mentally. What really drew me to this story was the fact that beneath all the action and adventure, it is about how far you are willing to go for someone who means everything to you. I am excited for audiences to see this side of me on the big screen,” he notes.
Back in June 2025, the first character posters and name reveals for Rane’s Virat, Khateeb’s Silaa, Mehra’s antagonist Zehraak and Ipsitaa’s Naina were released to mark the start of the film’s shoot, which wrapped in April this year. The film has been shot across Mumbai, Kashmir and Vietnam with director Omung Kumar promising to “take the audiences on a roller-coaster ride, where romance, action, mystery and adventure come together in an unexpected way.”

“We wanted the world of the film to feel expansive and visually striking, while ensuring that the emotions always remain at the centre of the story,” Kumar explains. Speaking about what the cast brings to the table, the filmmaker remarks, “Harshvardhan brings a certain intensity and physicality to Virat, while Sadia adds her own strength and depth to Silaa. Bringing this story to life was an exciting experience, and I hope audiences connect with its emotional core as much as they enjoy the scale and thrill of the film.”
