Prabhas is gearing up to enter a darker, more intense world with "Spirit", his upcoming action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film, which marks the first collaboration between the actor and the filmmaker behind "Arjun Reddy," "Kabir Singh" and "Animal," has generated considerable anticipation among fans. The newly unveiled poster features Prabhas in a rugged, brooding avatar, offering another glimpse into the film’s gritty world.
According to the release date displayed on the poster, "Spirit" will arrive in theatres on October 29, 2027, coinciding with Diwali. This will see the film clash with the highly-anticipated "Ramayana: Part 2"

The poster presents Prabhas in a stark close-up, with the actor sporting a thick beard, black sunglasses and a black baseball cap. Dressed in black, he looks away from the camera, with the shadow cast by his cap concealing much of his face. The dramatic lighting highlights the texture of his beard and the contours of his face, lending the image a moody, menacing quality.
While the makers have kept the complete storyline under wraps, "Spirit" is expected to be a hard-hitting action drama. Prabhas plays a former IPS officer who finds himself in prison, with veteran actor Prakash Raj reportedly playing a jailer. Triptii Dimri, who previously collaborated with Vanga on Animal, plays the female lead. Vivek Oberoi is also part of the cast and is set to play the antagonist. The ensemble includes Kanchana, while further character details remain under wraps.
Spirit brings together Prabhas' pan-Indian appeal and Vanga's distinctive filmmaking style, known for its emotionally charged characters, confrontational drama and stylised violence. The collaboration has consequently become one of the most anticipated projects in the actor's upcoming slate.
The release date, however, marks a change from the previously announced March 5, 2027 date. The latest poster points to an October 29, 2027 release, placing the film in the Diwali festive window. With Prabhas sporting a striking new look and Vanga at the helm, Spirit is shaping up to be a major theatrical event.
