Prabhas’ ‘Fauzi’ Release Delayed, Producer Promises ‘Baahubali’ Scale: ‘It’s A Next-Level Movie’
Prabhas’ upcoming period drama "Fauzi" has been postponed from its December 3, 2026 release date, producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers confirmed at the pre-release event of Nani’s "The Paradise" in Hyderabad on September 21.
The film, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, does not have a new release date yet. The postponement comes amid reports of pending post-production work, with the additional time expected to be used to complete the large-scale production.
Speaking about the delay, Ravi Shankar apologised to the audience and stressed that the team wanted more time to complete the film. He also compared Prabhas’ look and the scale of "Fauzi" to the actor’s "Baahubali" films.

"Fauzi is being pushed back a little bit, but it’s a next-level movie. You haven’t seen brother Prabhas look so grand since Baahubali. It’s a movie of that scale," Ravi Shankar said. "You will cherish it for a lifetime. It’s such a massive and great movie."
"Fauzi" marks Raghavapudi’s follow-up to "Sita Ramam" and is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films presenting the film.
The period drama stars Prabhas alongside Imanvi Esmail, Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher. The film is expected to combine its period setting with action and romance, although the makers have not yet announced a revised release date.
The December 3 date had placed "Fauzi" ahead of a December 4 release slate that includes Naga Chaitanya’s "Vrushakarma," Shraddha Kapoor's "Eetha" and Dulquer Salmaan’s "Sri Sri". With the Prabhas starrer now postponed, its eventual release date will determine its revised theatrical positioning.
