‘Paapanasham’: ‘CID’ Trio Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava Come Together For A New Crime Show
Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava are back. Well, it is not for the new season of "CID" but for a new crime show. This is produced by Dayanand Shetty who formed his own studio some time back. Fans had been waiting for the announceent of a new season of "CID" since a long time. One of the longest-running shows of Indian Television, it is a cult hit with kids who grew up in the early 2000s. The trio of Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava enjoy immense popularity till date. Satam had earlier told Variety India that they were always ready to team up for a new season of "CID."

Satam had told Variety India that the "CID" trio was keen to collaborate with Shetty saying, "Daya also has his production house. He is keen to produce the upcoming season. The conversations are on. If he decides to come on board, we will definitely support him in this endeavor.”
The shoot for the series has started in Udupi near Mangalore. The series is titled, "Paapanasham - Where Crime Ends." It is going to be an action-packed investigative crime show much on the lines of "CID."
The last season of "CID" ran for over a year on Sony TV and Netflix. It also had a cameo from Parth Samthaan as ACP Ayushman. Shivaji Satam, who is known for his work in theater and Marathi films become one of TV's top stars after "CID." Crime shows from earlier decades are making a comeback of sorts.
Ravi Adhikari is directing "Suraag 2.0," a new version of "Suraag," that came on Doordarshan in the 1990s. The new version has Sai Ketan Rao as the main lead. It is also an investigative procedural drama.
