CID 3: Will Dayanand Shetty Step Up As Producer Of New Season? Shivaji Satam Assures Full Support (EXCLUSIVE)
One of the country's longest-running TV shows, 'CID,' returned for the second season in 2024 on Sony TV and later in 2025 on Netflix. Fans were happy to see the OG team back on screen, solving cases in their trademark style. They also liked how, despite the modern upgrades, they still kept the essence of the bureau intact. There have been rumors of the shoot of CID 3 starting in the second half of 2026. Actor Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman, told us that talks are on, but nothing has been finalized so far.

In a chat with Variety India, Satam said, “Everything has to align together. We are in talks. Honestly, nothing is in our hands. We are like soldiers. We are always ready to fire whenever we are called (laughs). If they call me to shoot tomorrow, I am up for it.” He also revealed that his colleagues Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava are also keen to do the show. It seems Shetty might also step up as a producer for the upcoming season.
He tells us, “Daya also has his production house. He is keen to produce the upcoming season. The conversations are on. If he decides to come on board, we will definitely support him in this endeavor.”
When we asked if the team would get some new faces in season three, as they did in season two, he said it could be possible. CID 2 had Parth Samthaan as ACP Ayushmann. His stint was much appreciated by fans of the show. “Parth is a good actor and a nice guy. It was wonderful working with him. Such a thorough gentleman,” he says.
