‘Off Campus’ and ‘Heated Rivalry’ Second Seasons To Make April 2027 a Hockey-Heavy Month
There is something to say when two of the biggest pop culture phenomena of 2026 — “Heated Rivalry” and “Off Campus” — have been streaming shows adapted from books that marry hockey with romance and yearning. But as both series gear up for a second outing in spring of 2027, their release date announcements have confirmed that April 2027 will be turning into a hockey romance extravaganza for fans of the genre.
Off Campus Season 2 Release Date
On November 5, 2026, the lead pair of “Off Campus” Season 2, Dean Di Laurentis, played by Stephen Kalyn, and Allie Hayes, played by Mika Abdalla, came together to announce that the second season of the YA hockey romance series is set to premiere on April 28, 2027.

The series, created by Louisa Levy, is based on author Elle Kennedy’s best-selling “Off Campus” book series. After the first season explored the romance between music major Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and Briar U hockey captain Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), Season 2 is all set to send playboy and Graham’s teammate/roommate/friend, Dean Di Laurentis, down the romance road as he falls for Hannah’s best friend and roommate, Allie. Their romance already began as a Season 1 subplot, with Dean realising he has feelings for Allie, but the latter trying to keep it casual after coming out of a serious relationship. The new season will focus on their relationship, with the returning and new characters’ stories also taking up some screen time.
The cast also includes new and returning actors, including Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, India Fowler, Julia Sarah-Stone, Khobe Clarke, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Philipa Soo, with guest stars Charlie Evans and Shay Rudolph.
Heated Rivalry Season 2 Release Date
After getting everyone obsessed with a glorious first season that became a major trendsetter and catapulted its cast to fame, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie as pro ice hockey players and “lovers,” Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, are set to return for “Heated Rivalry” Season 2.

Based on author Rachel Reid's "Game Changers" hockey romance books, production on the series began in Toronto in mid-2026, with a slew of new cast announcements put out by the official series account on social media. And even though an official release date has not been announced, “Heated Rivalry” Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in spring 2027, most likely in the month of April.
Shane and Ilya are not going to be the only couple in focus in "Heated Rivalry Season 2, and it isn’t going to be a bed of roses this time either. Creator Jacob Tierney has confirmed that Season 2 delves into the deeper, more mature emotions of being in a committed relationship for Shane and Ilya. Furthermore, Season 2 will also have another couple as co-leads. Charles Gillespie will play Troy Barrett, a closeted hockey player freshly traded to the Ottawa Centaurs. And Justice Smith will play Harris Drover, Ottawa’s openly gay social media manager.
A Hockey Romance Fest in April 2027
Fans of the hockey romance genre are not waiting with bated breath for “Heated Rivalry” creators to confirm a proper release date for Season 2. Because if it is also arriving in April 2027, it’s going to be a hockey-heavy April and quite the romance treat for fans.
