Tom Holland-starrer “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is shattering records at the box office. After becoming one of the highest opening weekend grossers, the superhero blockbuster has now emerged as the second-fastest entrant to the billion-dollar club (six days), after “Avengers: Endgame” ($1.22 billion), which achieved the milestone in five days.
The new Spidey movie, which raked in $1.052 billion in six days, has surpassed biggies like “Avengers: Infinity War” (11 days), “Ne Zha 2” (12 days), “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (12 days), “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (12 days), “Jurassic World” (13 days), “Avatar: The Way Of Water” (14 days), “Zootopia 2” (17 days) and “Furious 7” (17 days).
It has also become the fourth film of 2026 to cross the billion mark after “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” ($1.001 billion), “Michael” ($1.001 billion) and “Toy Story 5” ($1.067 billion).
Conidering the current fan frenzy and scenario, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is expected to enter the $2 billion club soon, which is achieved by only seven films in the cinema history including “Avatar” ($2.92 billion), “Avengers: Endgame” ($2.80 billion), “Avatar: The Way Of Water” ($2.33 billion), “Ne Zha 2” ($2.27 billion), “Titanic” ($2.226 billion), “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ($2.07 billion) and “Avengers: Infinity War” ($2.05 billion).
