‘Spider-Man: Brand-New Day’ Box Office: Every Record The Tom Holland Starrer Has Broken in India

The latest installment of the Spider-Man franchise, titled “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” has set new records in its extended opening week at the Indian box office. In fact, it is already the second-biggest grosser in the country, right behind Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar: The Revenge.” As the webhead movie continues its journey towards becoming the biggest Hollywood grosser in India, here are the major milestones the film has achieved.

Biggest Hollywood Opener

The Spidey flick collected a massive ₹60.60 crore on its first day and surpassed “Avengers: Endgame” (₹53.60 crore) to register the biggest first-day collection for a Hollywood film.

Biggest Hollywood Opening Weekend Grosser

It again overtook  “Avengers: Endgame” (₹158.65 crore) to become the biggest opening weekend grosser with ₹257.95 crore (4-day weekend).

Highest Single-Day Collection For A Hollywood Film

The film also set the record for the highest single-day collection by a Hollywood film in India and broke its own mark twice. Previously held by “Avengers: Endgame” (₹53.60 crore), the record was first broken on Day 1 with ₹60.60 crore, before the Spidey movie raised the benchmark to ₹70.25 crore on Saturday and ₹77.75 crore on Sunday.

Highest Grosser In The Spider-Man Franchise

The film surpassed the lifetime business of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (₹217.10 crore) in just four days, becoming the highest-grossing film in the Spider-Man franchise.

Highest First Week Grosser For A Hollywood Film

With a collection of ₹334.70 crore in its extended 8-day week, it has become the biggest first-week grosser, beating Avengers: Endgame (₹260.40 crore).

Fastest Entrant to ₹300 crore

While “Avengers: Endgame” took 10 days to hit a triple century at the box office, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” achieved this feat in merely six days.  

Third Highest Hollywood Grosser of All Time

With a total of ₹334.70 crore, it is currently the third-highest Hollywood grosser behind “Avatar: The Way of Water” (₹391.40 crore) and “Avengers: Endgame” (₹370.05 crore). It is expected to hit the highest Hollywood grosser milestone on Monday or Tuesday.
