Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta Starrer ‘VIBE’ Receives ‘A’ Certificate, Run Time Revealed Ahead Of Release

Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta’s film “VIBE” is scheduled to release on September 18, alongside Meghna Gulzar directed and Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer “Daayra.” According to the official certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, “VIBE” has received an ‘A’ certificate without any visual cuts. However, the two changes that the Examining Committee has ordered include adding an anti-drug disclaimer and muting one profanity.

The changes include “Add anti drug disclaimer in the beginning” and “Mute/replace suitably the word “B**en c**d.”” The runtime for the movie has been established as 145.55 minutes, which comes to 2 hours 25 minutes and 55 seconds.

During an exclusive interview with Variety India, Kemmu opened up about the movie, where he shouldered the responsibilities of being an actor, director, producer and writer. When asked how he navigated every aspect on the sets, Kemmu said, “I mean the fatigue hit after the film was done. When I was in it, I was running a race.”

“VIBE” is Kemmu’s directorial after “Madgaon Express.” It was released on March 22, 2024. It starred Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi and Avinash Tiwary in leading roles. It follows three friends, Dodo (Divyenndu), Pinku (Pratik Gandhi) and Ayush (Avinash Tiwary), who have been planning a Goa getaway since their school days. When they finally get the chance to reunite years later, they set off for the trip aboard the Madgaon Express. What begins as a long-awaited holiday soon takes an unexpected turn when Pinku mistakenly ends up with someone else’s bag. Inside are cash, a gun and a hotel-room key, pulling the trio into a dangerous situation involving drugs, gangsters, the police and a cocaine stash. As they struggle to get themselves out of the mess, things only become more complicated when they encounter Kanchan Kombdi (Chhaya Kadam), Mendoza Bhai (Upendra Limaye) and Tasha (Nora Fatehi).
