In the Hindi film industry, several superstars, including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor, are currently juggling multiple projects. However, some of the big names are yet to finalize their upcoming or next film after their current projects.
Ranveer Singh
After delivering two back-to-back blockbusters with the “Dhurandhar” franchise, Ranveer Singh will start shooting for “Pralay” this month. While the actor will wrap up the production of the zombie thriller in 2027, he is yet to greenlight any new project. There are reports suggesting he will be reuniting with Aditya Dhar for a high-budget, large-scale action flick, but it is yet to be verified.
Shah Rukh Khan
After enjoying a historic 2023, with the success of “Pathaan,” “Jawan” and “Dunki,” SRK is set to return to the big screen after three years with Sidharth Anand’s “King.” While the curiosity for this Christmas release is humongous among cinegoers, he hasn’t announced his next project after this tentpole action-thriller. While “Pathaan 2” and “Tiger vs Pathaan” (alongside Salman Khan) are also in contention, nothing is official.

Hrithik Roshan
The post-COVID phase has been underwhelming for the actor with “Vikram Vedha,” “Fighter” and “War” performing way below the mark. While the actor has officially announced two projects with “Krrish 4” (also marking his directorial debut) and Hombale’s Next, none of them has gone on floors. In fact, the actor has also been approached by “Chhaava” and “Eetha” director Laxman Utekar for his next, but HR is still undecided if he wants to direct or go back to acting this year. Meanwhile, the pre-production of the superhero flick is on.
Varun Dhawan
Varun Dhawan started 2026 on a great note with the success of “Border 2.” However, post his last release, “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai,” VD is being cautious and has not signed any film in the last year. While he is committed to “Bhediya 2” post his cameo in “Thamma,” there has been no movement on the Maddock productions.
Sidharth Malhotra
Sidharth Malhotra will be seen in the upcoming folklore thriller, “The Vvaan,” which might improve his prospects at the box office. There has been no news of what the actor is considering as his next release post “The Vvaan.”
Shahid Kapoor
After “O’Romeo” and “Cocktail 2,” the actor will be next seen in the OTT show “Farzi 2.” While his next theatrical project remains a big question for the audience, there were reports of him collaborating with director Amit Sharma for a soul-swapping comedy. But he is no longer part of that project and is actively looking for a good script, irrespective of the genre.
