‘Digger’ Trailer: Tom Cruises Through Disaster As Oil-Crazy Billionaire In This Catastrophic Comedy by Alejandro G. Iñárritu
A dark comedy that digs deep into the recesses of human greed in the most blatant way possible, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Digger,” stars Tom Cruise as Digger Rockwell.
The line you just read needs to be repeated. And spelt out. Because unlike “Tropic Thunder,” a potbellied, unrecognizable Cruise waddles about in “Digger” with all of the arrogance and foul-mouthed charisma of “Thunder”’s Les Grossman. But with better prosthetics and a full head of hair.

With Talking Heads’ “Burning Down The House” playing loud and proud in the background, it’s ripe with intent on doing just that.
“Digger” releases October 2, 2026.
