Vishal Mishra is reuniting with Salman Khan for “The Monster,” with the singer-composer scoring the album and also lending his voice to the title track. The collaboration marks another musical association between Mishra and Khan, who had also teamed for Khan’s home production “Notebook” starring Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Behl.

Khan’s upcoming action-packed entertainer with producer Dil Raju and director Vamshi Paidipally went on the floors earlier this year with the working title “SVC63.” The film stars Nayanthara opposite Khan for the first time and is slated for an Eid release in 2027. A source from the film reveals, “Two songs for the film were already ready when the makers approached Mishra. Given his long association with the actor, Mishra has no hesitation and agreed to take on the project.”

Mishra’s connection with Salman Khan goes back to “Race 3,” for which he composed “Selfish,” the romantic track written by and featuring Khan. Mishra had also collaborated on the “Rafta Rafta” medley from “Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se,” featuring Khan in a special appearance.

Over the years, Mishra has established himself as a composer and singer who comfortably balances soulful melodies with commercial, high-energy songs. His breakthrough as a singer came with “Kaise Hua” from “Kabir Singh,” while songs such as “Pehle Bhi Main” and “Aaj Bhi” have further cemented his distinct vocal identity.
The timing of this collaboration is perfect. It highlights Mishra’s incredible trajectory from scoring Khan’s early projects to becoming a powerhouse in contemporary Hindi film music. Today, Mishra is undeniably the industry's go-to composer for blockbuster cinema.

His recent portfolio includes Yash’s high-profile action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Mishra composed and sang multiple tracks for the film, including the widely popular song "Tabaahi.”
