With ‘Ranger’ Shifting to 2027, Prabhas’ ‘Fauzi’ and Akshay Kumar’s Untitled Project Get Prime December Window
The first week of December in 2026 was turning out to be an interesting week at the box office with a three-way clash between Ajay Devgn-Sanjay Dutt’s “Ranger,” Prabhas’s “Fauzi” and Akshay Kumar’s untitled next with director Anees Bazmee. However, a major twist has taken place in this clash of titans at the ticket windows.
Variety India has exclusively learned that “Ranger” has been pushed to 2027, which leaves the coveted release window to "Fauzi" and Akshay Kumar's untitled project. Now, it would be interesting to see whether any new film enters this slot to compete with Prabhas and Akshay at the box office.

Prabhas’s “Fauzi” stars Imanvi alongside veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhanu Chander and Jayapradha in pivotal roles. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi of Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur’s “Sita Ramam” fame, “Fauzi’ is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, who has collaborated with the filmmaker on his previous projects.
On the other hand, Akshay’s next also stars Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna in lead roles.
