‘Golmaal 5’: Priyamani To Portray A Negative Role In Ajay Devgn-Akshay Kumar’s Comic Caper (EXCLUSIVE)
The fifth installment of the “Golmaal” franchise went on floors in February 2026. The makers shared the news with a video featuring the ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Sharman Joshi (marking his return to the franchise after the first part). The on-set promotional clip also gave a pleasant surprise to the audience with the addition of Akshay Kumar, marking a major casting coup.
While Priyamani also joined the cast around the same time, Variety India has exclusively learned that the actress, known for her performances in “The Family Man”, “Article 370” and “Yamadonga,” will portray a negative character in the film.
With the National Award-winning star playing a baddie, it would be interesting to see how director Rohit Shetty designs her character arc to amplify the entertainment quotient for the audience.
