"Tabaahi" isn’t your run-of-the-mill, slow-motion romance; it’s an intense, all-consuming love story captured in its rawest, most rebellious form. As the world burns around them, Yash and Kiara deliver emotionally charged performances that give us a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into the film’s gritty universe.

Set against a massive cinematic backdrop, the video perfectly mirrors the high-octane, action-packed violence we expect from a Geetu Mohandas directorial. The rebellious tone of the track that starts with the Rumi wrongdoing and rightdoings quote, is set right from the start with lyrics that urge listeners to break societal rules, forget past mistakes and find total solace in getting completely destroyed in a lover's arms.
The music video gives us our first real look at the characters, with Kiara Advani and a sharp-looking, fit Yash showcasing strong on-screen chemistry. The two share several passionate, intimate moments throughout the video, with scenes filmed across various locations including narrow bylanes, inside a car, a changing room and on a beach.
Beyond the lead pair, the video drops a few interesting hints about the plot. We get a brief glimpse of Nayanthara, and the song unexpectedly concludes with a scene featuring Yash and Tara Sutaria. It leaves viewers wondering how these different characters connect and what roles the many women in his life will play in the larger narrative.
With the track leaning heavily into pain, angst and pure defiance against society, musician Vishal Mishra, who composed and sang the Hindi version, explained the track's dark, intoxicating energy perfectly:
"Tabaahi isn't a love song in the conventional sense, it's love as wreckage, as surrender, as fire that doesn't ask permission. 'Toxic' demanded music that could hold that intensity: epic and intimate at once. Yash Bhai brings a rare conviction to the screen that I tried to match note for note. Tabaahi, for me, was about chasing that raw, unfiltered pulse of love, the kind that consumes before it comforts."
Written by Raj Shekhar in Hindi, the song has been released across multiple languages. The makers collaborated with regional lyricists to adapt the track, featuring Yogaraj Bhat for Kannada, Ramajogayya Sastry for Telugu, Vignesh Shivan for Tamil and Rafeeq Ahammed for Malayalam.
Co-written by Yash himself alongside powerhouse director Geetu Mohandas, the movie boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, “Toxic” is locked and loaded to hit theaters on August 26, 2026.
