Jennie is planning a new album release later this month. As per her agency, OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER), on August 19, the songstress is speeding up the preparations for her upcoming new album release, as reported by Star News. The BLACKPINK member aims to release it later this month, about a year and a half following the drop of her first album, “Ruby.”

Jennie has previewed unreleased songs like “Less than a Lover,” “FALLEN ANGEL,” and “lockitdown” by performing them during her performances at music festivals. She recently participated in The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, USA; Roskilde Festival in Denmark; Open'er Festival in Poland; 2026 Mad Cool Festival in Spain; and SUMMER SONIC 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.

Earning herself the nickname of festival Queen, the 30-year-old has been impressing global audiences with her appearances and recently wrote a long social media post thanking her fans for their support and sharing her thoughts on how one may not be able to achieve everything they wish for at these performances.

With Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, FKJ, Dua Lipa, and Kali Uchis collaborating with the singer on her debut studio album as well as El Guincho, Diplo, and Mike Will Made It writing for it, there’s increasing curiosity within the music space about the composers, producers and fellow artistes that she works with on her upcoming record.

“Ruby” has 15 songs and debuted at No. 7 on the US Billboard 200, No. 2 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, and reached No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart.
