After enjoying a record-breaking opening day of ₹60.60 crore, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” continued its dominance on its second day at the box office. Despite a working Friday, the superhero flick raked in ₹49.35 crore and is now heading for a historic Saturday, with ₹12.72 crore already coming in from the morning shows.

In just two-and-a-half days, the Tom Holland-starrer collected ₹122.67 crore. It will surpass Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” (₹139.22 crore) today to become the highest Hollywood grosser of 2026. On the other hand, Raghav Juyal’s “Bhai Tera Star Hai,” which came with the Spidey film, turned out to be a disappointment with collections of merely ₹0.50 crore in two days.

With the film running across the country at 80-90% occupancy, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is eyeing over ₹220 crore in its extended opening weekend. In fact, it has severely impacted the business of holdover releases at the ticket windows. While “The Odyssey” is expected to earn between ₹15-₹20 crore in its third weekend, Thalapathy Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan” might collect only ₹10-₹15 crore in its second weekend.

The webhead biggie is enjoying a solo run in India with the widest Hollywood release - around 5,000 screens. The interesting part is that the average occupancy of the Hindi-dubbed version (92.7%) is phenomenally great compared to its original English version (50.09%).

With glowing word-of-mouth, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is expected to dominate the Indian market for at least two weeks until the arrival of Sunny Deol-Preity Zinta’s “Batwara 1947” and Emraan Hashmi-Disha Patani’s “Awarapan 2.”
