‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has emerged as a record-smasher at the global box office. After entering the $1 billion club in just six days, the film has now become the biggest grosser of 2026.
The Tom Holland-starrer currently stands at $1.22 billion at the worldwide box office, emerging as the highest-grossing film of the year, overtaking “Toy Story 5” ($1.07 billion), “Michael” ($1.01 billion) and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” ($1.01 billion).
The domestic market (USA+Canada) has contributed around 41.9% with $511 million in collections of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” On the other hand, overseas markets account for 58.1% of the film’s worldwide haul, contributing $707 million.

Among the international markets, Mexico ($53 million), the UK ($48.9 million), France ($41 million), India ($38.5 million), South Korea ($30.6 million), Brazil ($23.8 million), Italy ($22.5 million) and Germany ($20.2 million) have contributed significantly.
With limited major competition ahead, the Spidey movie is on track to enter the elite $2 billion club and become the eighth film to achieve this feat after “Avatar” ($2.92 billion), “Avengers: Endgame” ($2.80 billion), “Avatar: The Way Of Water” ($2.33 billion), “Ne Zha 2” ($2.27 billion), “Titanic” ($2.226 billion), “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ($2.07 billion) and “Avengers: Infinity War” ($2.05 billion).
With this milestone, it will also become the highest-grossing ‘Spider-Man’ film, overtaking “Spider-Man: No Way Home” ($1.92 billion).
The film also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Florence Pugh, Tramell Tillman, Marisa Tomei, and Mark Ruffalo in prominent roles. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed “Short Term 12,” “The Glass Castle,” “Just Mercy” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”
The film features music by Michael Giacchino and editing by Nat Sanders, Gina Sansom and Harry Yoon.
