Given her popularity among Malayali audiences through films like “James & Alice,” “Cousins” and “Sringaravelan,” Vedhika’s recent dance performance in “Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1” for the song “Sulthaan” has won appreciation from viewers. In an interview with Variety India, she spoke about how the song came at the perfect moment in her career and reflected on career-defining films like “Paradesi.”
Vedhika revealed that Vijay Babu, producer and actor of “Aadu 3,” called her and said it would be wonderful for her to appear in the film. “When I first heard the song, I was immediately confident because I had heard about the excitement surrounding this movie franchise,” she said.

The actress added that Shaan Rahman’s music, Shobi Master’s choreography and Akhil George’s cinematography created the ideal combination for the track. “Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1,” which also stars Jayasurya, Saiju Kurup and Vinayakan, is now streaming on ZEE5 with English subtitles.
The “Razakar” star emphasised that she had earlier received multiple offers to be part of special dance numbers with superstars from various industries. “But since my focus was on performance-driven roles, I chose not to do them. I’ve always enjoyed dancing, and Vijay Sir’s offer came at a time when I wanted to do something fun,” she said.
Vedhika said the 2013 Tamil film “Paradesi” became the foundation of her acting career. “Angamma in that film is the most fulfilling character of my life, and I signed ten films right after it. I received far more from “Paradesi” than I had anticipated, and my performance as Angamma was the reason for every offer I received, regardless of language,” she said.
Responding to trolls on social media about a particular scene in the Tamil film “Kanchana 3,” Vedhika said that what matters most is that she enjoys her work. “I think viewers are free to praise or criticise the films they watch. This profession comes with that kind of public engagement, which is beyond our control,” she said.
