‘Ramayana’ Releases First Track ‘Jai Jai Ram’: Arijit Singh And Shreya Ghoshal Team Up For A Devotional Duet
With less than two months to go for the grand release of “Ramayana”, the hype and anticipation surrounding the epic are at an absolute peak. Fans across the globe have been eagerly waiting to hear what the musical landscape of this magnum opus will sound like, especially with the legendary A.R. Rahman orchestrating the score. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, which also saw the unveiling of the mesmerizing Siya Ram poster, the makers have finally dropped the film's first song titled “Jai Jai Ram”.
Written by lyricist Kumar Vishwas, the devotional number carries a soul-stirring hook line that you will be singing long after Diwali, because true devotion is eternal: “Jai Jai Ram, Meri Pooja Mere Ram. Jai Jai Ram, Chaaro Dham Mere Ram”

Beginning this musical journey on Ganesh Chaturthi felt especially meaningful because, in our culture, every auspicious beginning starts by seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha.”
A.R. Rahman said, “At the heart of ‘Jai Jai Ram’ is the simple and powerful repetition of Shri Ram’s name. Musically, the intention was to preserve the purity and intimacy of a prayer while allowing the composition to grow into a cinematic song. Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal bring their own distinct emotional expression to Dr. Kumar Vishwas’s words, while always remaining true to the devotion at the centre of the song. Beside the central pairing of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, the film boasts a powerhouse ensemble cast. The epic saga features Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra.
