Reality TV is driving TRPs and streaming numbers proving how addicted Indians are to non-stop drama, voyeurism and content that entertains and ragebaits at the same time. Channels are spending big bucks to rope in superstars to host these shows knowing how a popular face brings in numbers. So, while an A-List film star draws in audiences, it is the contestants' jobs to keep them hooked. However, these crowd-puller hosts play a big role in keeping neutral viewers invested in a show, as even non-reality show fans tune in to watch their faves.

Along with his prudence, he always reminds them that they’re on the show to challenge themselves. Shetty does not believe in shortcuts and this philosophy defines the show. “Khatron Ke Khiladi 15” is clocking in fantastic numbers on streaming charts (6.5 million viewers as per Ormax StreamView’s latest numbers). Rohit Shetty’s dynamic, motivating and taskmaster attitude deserves considerable credit for the same.
Karan Johar (The Traitors)
Karan Johar has been a part of a few reality shows but “The Traitors” has shown how well the filmmaker can step into character. The reality series needs a personality that is suave, ruthless with the icy cool menacing vibes. Johar is perfect as the host. It feels like “The Traitors”, which is all about mind games, betrayal and his Chanakya-like moves seems tailormade for him. The show filmed in an opulent palace seems more opulent due to his maximalist outfits.
Farah Khan - Riteish Deshmukh (Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa)
Farah Khan has been on numerous reality shows as a host and judge. Her sharp wit, observation skills and natural flair for comedy makes her a perfect fit. In “Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa,” people loved the camaraderie of Riteish Deshmukh and her. Khan was sarcastic, tough and empathic when it was needed. Deshmukh too, reined in the contestants with his poise, clarity and brotherly affection.
