Dev Adhikari, Subhashree Ganguly Wrap Up Shoot For ‘DeSu7’, Superstar Duo Recreate Their ‘Romeo’ Days in Ladakh
Fans of one of Bengali cinema's OG pairs, Dev Adhikari and Subhashree Ganguly are keenly waiting for "DeSu7". It is one of the biggest releases of Durga Puja 2026 marking the directorial debut of Adhikari. The lead pair returned from Ladakh a week ago after filming a song in the surreal landscape of the region. Today, Adhikari announced wrap of the film's shoot with a dance video. We can see Adhikari and Ganguly dancing on the song, "Mala Re," from their 2011 movie, "Romeo." The movie, a remake of Siddharth and Tamannaah Bhatia's "Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam" was a blockbuster.

Subhashree Ganguly and Dev Adhikari have starred together in six hit movies. In 2025, their film, "Dhumketu" was one of the highest-grossers of the year. The Kaushik Ganguly film was in the cans for many years but got a huge response when it released. Ganguly in a thoughtful post on Instagram described Adhikari's new innings as a filmmaker, saying, "Both us started our journey more or less around the same time. But this time it was a different experience, as I was part of your first directorial debut, I could see you and your vision come alive. It was a different side of you."
"DeSu7" working title is a romance filled with action. Adhikari's movie, "Bike Ambulance Dada" was supposed to clash with "Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat" with Jeet as the lead. Singer and actor Anirban Bhattacharya also plays a major role in the movie. The official title of the movie is yet to be announced.
Adhikari and Ganguly have been promoting the movie aggressively ahead of its release. The actress was present on the sets of "Dadagiri Unlimited" and they also shot a pictorial to commemmorate the first anniversary of "Dhumketu".
