Dev Adhikari Steps Into Sourav Ganguly’s Shoes For ‘Dadagiri Unlimited’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Bengali superstar Dev Adhikari, who was busy campaigning during the recent West Bengal Elections, is back in the studio. Variety India has learned that he has finished filming the promo of the upcoming season of “Dadagiri Unlimited,” one of the longest-running Bengali shows.
The show that airs on Zee Bangla is a quiz program featuring participants from 24 districts of West Bengal. Dev, who will be the host this season, will take over from former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Dev will be simultaneously shooting for his movie with Subhashree Ganguly.

Sourav Ganguly, who was the face of “Dadagiri Unlimited,” hosted the show from 2009 to 2011. After a brief break, he returned to host the show in 2013 and continued until 2024. This year, Sourav Ganguly will host “Bigg Boss Bangla.” The announcement was made on March 6 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
On the movie front, Dev Adhikari and Subhashree Ganguly are reuniting for a new movie, tentatively titled “DeSu7,” after collaborating on “Dhumketu” (2025). The shooting of “DeSu7” will start in June and wrap up in September. The film is expected to release during Durga Puja this year. His other movie, “Tonic 2,” a comedy, is slated to hit the screens in Christmas 2026. The film, directed by Avijit Sen, also stars Paran Bandapadhyay.
Dev’s next release is “Bike Ambulance Dada,” a biographical film on the life of Padma Shri awardee Karimul Haque. The film will release on Independence Day this year.
