Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana" is set for one of the largest international theatrical releases ever planned for an Indian film. The makers have announced that Sony Pictures will distribute the two-part epic across 50,000 screens in international markets, marking a landmark global rollout as the film prepares for its worldwide release later this year.
Produced by Namit Malhotra, "Ramayana" will arrive in theatres in two parts, with the first installment slated for release on November 6, 2026, coinciding with the Diwali holiday, followed by the second part during Diwali 2027.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey essays the role of Lakshman. The project also brings together Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer and Oscar and Grammy winner A.R. Rahman, who are collaborating on the film's score.
