“Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa” runners-up Shivangi Joshi has been trending on social media ever since Harshad Chopda gave up his spot in the finale for the actress. Joshi, known for her work in TV serials like “Begusarai,” “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” “Barsatein” was expected to take home the winners trophy. In a chat with Variety India, Joshi says, “I think it is a very normal thing. A show has only one winner. Shreya (Kalra) won and I am happy for her. She has given her all to the game. I'm actually grateful that I made it to the top two. It's a big thing for me. And everyone has a journey. I made a lot of friends on the show.”
Joshi further says she firmly believes that whatever happens is for the good. Her platonic comment about Harshad Chopda is also viral. Clearing the air on their bond, Joshi tells us, “Harshad and I are very good friends and I'm really grateful to have him. We were friends, and will continue to be so. In fact, our bond has become stronger.”

She says she got very emotional when Chopda took that decision to relinquish his finale spot. “I think my not winning does not take away the value of his gesture. These shows are very unpredictable. But I think it was a very difficult situation for us,” she shares.
Joshi reveals that while viewers saw a part of the developments, a lot of transpired before and after. In hindsight, she believes she could have handled the situation better. She says, “I could have. I think that in anger, we have said many things. Throughout the show, we heard that we only played for one another and did not deserve to be in the game. This was one point when we wanted to play for ourselves.”
The actress further says, "In anger we end up saying a lot of things, which we do not mean. I think that it’s human. He is a wonderful person and a huge support."
Joshi sounds upset when asked about the whole Shilpa Shinde incident, where the senior actress made 'uncalled for' comments on her character. She shares, “I was very hurt when I heard about it. As a woman, how can you say such things about another woman? You very rightly said those comments were uncalled for. It is not even true. You do not know me, how I am in my personal life. Looking back, I think it is their take. As a senior actor, I respect Shilpa but that’s it. I don’t think they are so great and this deserves more importance.”
Reels of Chopda and Joshi with songs from “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” are doing the rounds on social media. “It is very funny. We are happy to see them. I think it was a beautiful show and we were a part of the same. And then, we did a show together, 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain'. It is hilarious to see people assume that TV actors are always in a dramatic mode. They feel we are always acting. We can also be sensitive. We are also human and learning from our mistakes. It takes a lot to vent your emotions on such platforms,” she signs off.
