JISOO Teases First Full-Length Solo Album, Says She Wants To “Show A Variety Of Charms”

BLACKPINK member JISOO recently appeared on Hot Ones and opened up about her solo journey, alongside her journey with her group. While speaking to Sean Evans, JISOO answered questions about her first full-length solo album. The date for the same hasn’t been announced, but JISOO says that she felt it was time to release an album and “show a variety of charms.”
Sharing about the project, JISOO said, “I made the effort to show a variety of charms. Whether it’s musical styles that I really liked or putting in different styles I liked listening [to], it was to add a bit of color to the album.”

She further added, “Going from doing everything with a group to creating a solo mini album last year, I felt the need to further explore my true colors through this adventure I’m on. I’ve started a much bigger adventure this time that I will work hard with everyone to overcome.”
JISOO opened up about her favourite English phrases, that her bandmates JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA have taught her over the years. While her favourite English phrase was “it’s a pity” before, she told Evans, “They taught me another one like it: ‘Piece of cake!'”
She also shared that she enjoys using the phrase whenever she gets the chance, often to surprise those around her with her command of English. When people ask how she knows it, she playfully replies that she "just does."

On the professional front, the singer was caught up with BLACKPINK’s comeback tour from July 2025 to January 2026. Then the group went on to release “Deadline” in February 2026. JISOO also released her mini album “AMORTAGE” in February 2025.
