With a few major releases arriving in the pre-Diwali window, some holdovers continued to dominate, while others struggled to draw audiences. Despite being in its third weekend, Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” remained almost on par with Venkatesh’s new release, “Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47” (AK47).
‘Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47’ and ‘Jailer 2’ Rule
“Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47,” directed by Trivikram Srinivas, witnessed an upward trend over its opening weekend and has collected ₹31.40 crore so far. Meanwhile, “Jailer 2” put up a strong show in its third weekend, earning ₹26.40 crore and taking its total box office collection to ₹456.30 crore.
‘Udta Teer’ and ‘Premada Oorali’ Maintain Momentum
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s “Udta Teer” maintained a steady pace in its second weekend, collecting ₹11.20 crore. The film’s total now stands at ₹42.10 crore, and it is expected to conclude its theatrical run at around ₹50 crore.
Meanwhile, Kannada family drama “Premada Oorali” is a case study, with its phenomenal box office run despite the absence of A-list actors. It collected ₹4.10 crore in its fifth weekend, taking its total to ₹110.82 crore.
‘#Cult’ Opens to a Lukewarm Response
Vishwak Sen’s action thriller “#Cult” has registered a below-average opening at the box office. The Telugu film collected ₹3.18 crore in its first three days. It needs to hold steady through the weekdays to reach a respectable total.
