Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s ‘Alpha’ Gets UA 16+ Certification Ahead of July 3 Release
The certification process for Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's upcoming film 'Alpha' is complete. The Central Board of Film Certification has given the Yash Raj Films' project a UA 16+ certificate.

The movie, scheduled to be released on July 3, 2026, has a runtime of 140 minutes and 48 seconds. The final duration of the movie stands at 2 hours and 20 minutes. It stars both Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in action-packed avatars. While the makers do not have to bother about major cuts, the Board has asked them for a few visual edits. The first half has certain scenes, whose impacts have been asked to be reduced.
The official synopsis of the movie states, "Driven by revenge, a young girl destroys anyone in her path until her journey uncovers the hidden truths of her own life. She is bold, cold, and ready to cross any line, hurting anyone who stands in her way."

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari have been a part of a few promotional events for the movie. In one such event in Jaipur, Alia mentioned, "If you noticed, we have only revealed the teaser and the trailer. There is a lot that you don’t know yet - not only about Anil (Kapoor) sir’s character, but also about my character, Sharvari’s character, Bobby (Deol) sir’s character, and all that. It is intentional because we want you to experience it in the theatre."
The movie is directed by Shiv Rawail. Apart from Alia and Sharvari, it also stars Bobby Deol, R. Madhavan and Anil Kapoor in leading roles. The screenplay has been written by Soumil Shukla and Shridhar Raghavan and it is produced by Aditya Chopra.
