‘Alpha’ Trailer Review: Alia And Sharvari Prove That Action Isn’t Just A Boy’s Game

When Yash Raj Films first dropped the teaser for “Alpha”, the internet was left with a massive itch. It was raw, it was bloody, but it left us with one burning question: Where on earth is Sharvari? While the teaser completely sidelined her to keep us guessing, the newly released trailer finally blows the doors off the hinges.

The “Alpha” trailer doesn’t just deliver on high-octane espionage; it grounds itself in a massive, high-stakes mythological metaphor. This isn't just another run-of-the-mill spy film—this is Ramayan meets the brutal, cold-blooded reality of the YRF Spy Universe.

The trailer opens on an eerie, clinical note: a young child kept inside a sterile glass container. As the camera cuts, we hear a voice asking Bobby Deol's character what they should name the girl. Given that her mother's name was Janaki, they choose a name heavy with destiny: Sita.

As Alia takes center stage, a chilling voiceover narrates the tale of an arrogant, deceitful demon who once kidnapped a princess. We all know how that ancient story ended. But “Alpha” draws these structural parallels with the Ramayan only to flip the script entirely. The trailer sets a fierce, revolutionary tone for the film: This time, Sita isn’t waiting to be rescued. This time, Sita is going to burn down Lanka herself.

Visually, director Shiv Rawail ensures that every single frame feels like a "money shot." The scale is massive, featuring sleek motorcycle chases through treacherous terrains, brutal gunfights, and blinding explosions.

And yes, we finally get our eyes on Sharvari.

Unlike the collaborative vibe hinted at in early posters, the trailer sets up an intriguing dynamic: at the start, Alia and Sharvari seem to be operating on completely different sides of the battlefield. However, as the narrative progresses, their friction evolves into a deadly camaraderie. Watching these two powerhouse actresses team up as lethal operatives is easily one of the biggest selling points of the film.

And if you thought Bobby Deol was menacing in Animal, wait until you meet Fateh.

Fateh is a man entirely obsessed with the "Alpha Program," an elite assassin training initiative. Driven by the bitter belief that India never truly respected or appreciated what the Alpha program was meant to achieve, Fateh is on a warpath. His philosophy is simple: India used to ignore Alpha; now, India will fear Alpha.

Flanked by a commanding Anil Kapoor, Bobby’s Fateh positions himself as the absolute "king of the jungle," executing anyone who dares to cross his path.

The trailer reaches a boiling point in a jaw-dropping sequence where Fateh effortlessly lifts Alia's character into the air. It’s an iconic underdog moment that immediately brings to mind Arya Stark’s legendary, split-second surprise attack on the Night King in “Game of Thrones”. Whether Alia pulls off a similar lethal trick remains to be seen, but the tension is palpable.

Just when you think the trailer has shown its hand, YRF delivers a absolute knockout punch in the final seconds. Saving the absolute best for last, none other than Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) slides into the frame to save the day.

His explosive entry not only firmly anchors Alpha within the larger, interconnected matrix of the Spy Universe but guarantees that the theaters will erupt into pure, unadulterated pandemonium on release day.
