After delivering box office successes with Damini (1990), Ghayal (1993) and Ghatak (1996), Sunny Deol and director Rajkumar Santoshi have reunited after 30 years with “Batwara 1947,” which is set to arrive this Independence Day weekend.

Akshay Kumar-Vipul Shah (Samuk)

Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah share a long-standing professional association. Kumar has starred in four of Shah’s directorials — “Aankhen” (2002), “Waqt: The Race Against Time” (2005), “Namastey London” (2007) and “Action Replayy” (2010). The actor has also featured in Shah’s production ventures, including “Singh Is Kinng” (2008) and “Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty” (2014). The duo is now reuniting after 12 years for “Samuk,” with Shah serving as producer and Kanishk Varma directing. The film is set to go on floors on August 23.

Akshay Kumar-Anees Bazmee (Untitled Project)

Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee are teaming up again after their successful collaborations on “Welcome” (2007), “Singh Is Kinng” (2008) and “Thank You” (2011). The actor-director duo has reunited for an untitled romantic comedy, which is scheduled for release in December. The film also features Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna in pivotal roles.

Shah Rukh Khan-Siddharth Anand (King)

After delivering the blockbuster “Pathaan” (2023), Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are joining forces again for “King.” The actor-director duo will reunite for the action thriller, which is scheduled to hit theatres during the Christmas weekend this year.

Vijay Sethupathi-Mani Ratnam (Untitled Project)

After impressing cinegoers and the box office with “Chekka Chivantha Vaanam,” versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi has reunited with the maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam for an untitled romantic drama. The movie is currently in production and also features Sai Pallavi in a lead role. The music of the film is composed by AR Rahman.
