After two postponements (October 2 and 9), Venkatesh Daggubati’s “Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 - AK47” will finally hit the screens tomorrow. The family entertainer marks the reunion between the actor and writer-director Trivikram Srinivas after more than 20 years (“Malliswari,” written by Trivikram, released in 2004).

With a grand theatrical release set for Oct. 30, the film has already grossed ₹5.36 crore in presales by selling 2.99 lakh tickets across 4,433 shows. Since it has been gaining momentum at the ticket windows, “AK47” is expected to have a strong opening in the domestic market. It would be interesting to see if the dubbed Telugu version of “Ramayana” will battle it out with “AK47” after its arrival on Nov. 5.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas of “Khaleja,” “Attarintiki Daredi,” “Julayi,” “Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava,” “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo” and “Guntur Kaaram” fame, the film is backed by S. Radha Krishna (Chinababu) under the Haarika & Hassine Creations banner.

Also starring Srinidhi Shetty, Nara Rohith, Yuvina Parthavi, Raja Prajwal, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji, Udaybir Sandhu, Vennela Kishore, and Raghu Babu in prominent roles, the music of the film is composed by Thaman S., with lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry.  The cinematography of the film is done by Ravi K. Chandran, with editing by Navin Nooli.

Meanwhile, Venkatesh was last seen in “Sankranthiki Vasthunam,” which emerged as the second-highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, it also featured Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenaakshi Chaudhary.
Interestingly, the Hindi adaptation of the film featuring Akshay Kumar, Raashii Khanna and Vidya Balan is set to hit the screens soon. It is directed by Anees Bazmee and bankrolled by Sri Venkateswara Creations.
