Thai Star Earth on Queer Acceptance and a Possible ‘Until We Meet Again’ Reunion (EXCLUSIVE)
Katsamonnat Namwirote, better known as Earth, is among the few Thai actors to actively embrace the Indian BL (Boys’ Love) fanbase. Taking that connection a step further, he announced a fan meeting in Bengaluru in July 2026. The 29-year-old, who began acting as a teenager, is one of Thailand’s few openly gay stars and is known for his gender-fluid fashion. With series such as “Love by Chance,” “Until We Meet Again” and “My Only 12%,” he has built a loyal following both in Thailand and internationally.
Also known as Cooheart, the Thai star spoke exclusively to Variety India about the changes he has experienced in the BL acting industry over the past decade.
What made you decide to host a fan meeting in India? What has your experience been with Indian fans and their response to your projects?
I’ve always received so much energy and love from fans across many countries. Every time I post a picture or release a new project, I always see supportive comments and messages from Indian fans. I also have to whisper that the engagement from Indian fans has been huge, it always surprises me in the best way.
How and why did you decide to get into the BL show space? What was your family’s reaction to it?
It all started back when my university feature pages were really popular. Someone spotted my photo on one of those pages and invited me to audition for “Love By Chance.” At that time, the BL series genre in Thailand was beginning to grow. I saw it as a great opportunity and a thrilling challenge.
My mother didn’t support the idea at first. Back then, I was living in Chiang Mai, so traveling to Bangkok for work involved significant expenses, and the competition in the industry was fierce. My family was naturally worried about career stability. But through my hard work, I proved to them that I could excel at it. Today, my family is one of my biggest support systems.

What are your thoughts on being an openly queer actor in Thailand?
For me, being true to myself is most important. In the beginning, I have to admit, there was strong public pressure, and many people might not have been accepting. But I believe that, ultimately, having the courage to accept yourself is what matters most. Today, I’m proud to be who I am and to share that empowering energy with others.
You have chosen fashion as a medium to express yourself. Where does that stem from?
It probably stems from my background in architecture and my love for art. I view fashion as a form of art that perfectly reflects who we are. It feels like a canvas where I can experiment, convey my emotions, and share my identity every single day without needing words. It makes me feel free and brings me so much joy. Most importantly, clothes carry a power to boost our confidence far more than we might think.
What changes have you observed regarding the perception of BL actors in the Thai acting industry since your work in ‘Let Me Kiss You’ nine years ago?
Wow! I’m genuinely shocked that nine years have gone by in the blink of an eye. I joined the industry in its early days when BL series were still considered a niche market, and actors in the genre weren’t as widely recognized or accepted back then.
The BL industry has grown at an incredible pace. Roles have become far more diverse, acceptance has grown, and society now views BL actors with understanding and respect as professional artists, not just as a temporary “pairing trend” like at the beginning. Over the past two years, it’s become clear that BL series are fulfilling their purpose, communicating messages of equality and LGBTQ+ culture and going beyond just entertainment.

It’s been seven years since ‘Until We Meet Again.’ Would you reunite with the cast for a 10th anniversary project? What would Intouch be doing if he were living in today’s time?
If the opportunity arises, I would absolutely love to. “Until We Meet Again” is a project that changed my life and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Even though we cast members are now on our paths, I believe our genuine friendship remains strong. If there’s a 10th anniversary project, I’m more than ready to clear my schedule.
As for the character Intouch, if he were living in today’s world, I think he’d definitely be a travel blogger or a trendy influencer. He’d be living vibrantly, dressed in chic fashion, taking gorgeous photos, and enjoying a happy life in an open-minded world with the person he loves. Though I wonder if his cooking skills have improved.
Tell us about ‘Fourever You Part 2.’ What makes the project special to you?
The team of this project feels like a family because we’ve spent three years together. The response from fans for both seasons has been incredible. I’m deeply grateful to all the fans for supporting us every step of the way so wonderfully.
