‘Saiyaara’ actor Alam Khan On His Upcoming Film: ‘Special To Be Part Of A Team Of Committed Actors’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Mohit Suri’s “Saiyaara," one of the biggest success stories of 2025 proved to be a breakthrough for actor Alam Khan. He has now finished work on his first movie as a leading man, “Party Animals,” which also stars Viraj Ghelani and Soundous Moufakhir in lead roles. Khan tells Variety India, “I feel nothing but gratitude. Whether it was KV in ‘Saiyaara’, directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Kota Factory’ with TVF, directed by Raghav Subbu, ‘Mahabharat,’ or ‘Shake It Up’—each project has shaped me in its own way.”
The film is directed by Ravi Chhabriya, who was earlier an assistant of Ali Abbas Zafar. Khan recounts the experience on the sets, saying, “I remember speaking to Ravi after the shoot, and he was genuinely happy with everyone's work. It's always special to be part of a team where every actor is committed to the story, and I think that collective effort really reflects on screen.”

He describes his experience of working with Viraj Ghelani and Saqib Ayub as “wonderful” highlighting how the newbies have delivered exactly what was required in the film. Khan also expresses joy how people slowly seem to be returning to theatres for all kinds of films. He opines, “I think both theatres and streaming have their own place, but there's something truly magical about watching a film on the big screen with a live audience. The collective laughter, silence, applause, and emotions make cinema a shared experience. At the same time, streaming has made great stories more accessible to people everywhere.”
Khan has had quite a few releases on streaming platforms over the years. He says, “I think the OTT space has definitely become more competitive, but I wouldn't call it saturated. Good stories and honest performances will always find their audience, regardless of the platform. As an actor, I see it as an exciting space because it continues to create opportunities for fresh voices.”
