Soundous Moufakir To Feature In A Comic Caper With Viraj Ghelani (EXCLUSIVE)
Reality star and actress Soundous Moufakir returns to film sets after debuting in Sonu Sood's 'Fateh' for director Ravi Chhabriya's untitled next. The Moroccan actress stars alongside Viraj Ghelani, Alam Khan and Saqib Ayub in the comedy caper. The movie revolves around the journey of these characters and the hilarious situations they encounter. Filming is set to begin soon, Variety India has learned.
Chhabriya’s last movie was “Detective Sherdil,” which starred Diljit Dosanjh, Banita Sandhu and Diana Penty in main roles. It was released directly on ZEE5. The pre-production of the movie is happening right now, and it will go on floors in the coming months.
Alam Khan was last seen in Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s “Saiyaara” as KV, the best friend of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday). Confirming the news, Khan tells us, “I am excited for audiences to see me in a completely different space with this film. This time, I’m stepping into a lead role in a film that’s fresh, youthful, funny and incredibly relatable. It’s a character with a lot of heart, and I had a great time bringing him to life.”

Saqib Ayub, who has been a part of movies like “Superboys Of Malegaon” (2024), “Love In Vietnam” (2025) and “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva” (2022) is playing a Mumbai street kid in the film. He is the narrator of the film. He says, “The narration is quirky and interactive, almost making the audience feel like they’re a part of the story, while keeping the narrative moving forward. Along with two other characters, I also bring much of the comic relief to the film, which made the experience incredibly enjoyable.”

Chhabriya was formerly an assistant director to Ali Abbas Zafar on “Sultan” (2016), “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017) and on “Bharat” (2019) as the first assistant director. Moufakir recently turned entrepreneur but began her career in Indian entertainment with reality shows like “MTV Splitsvilla Season 14” and “Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.” She was also seen in Guru Randhawa’s 2025 music video, “Qatal.” Moufakir is also a part of “The Traitors India” Season Two, which will go on air in July 2026 on a leading streaming platform.
Viraj Ghelani, a content creator and actor, has appeared in several Hindi and Gujarati movies. The actor was seen in Hindi films like “Jawan” (2023) and more recently, in the Gujarati movie “Badhu Alright Che!” Saqib Ayub has been part of movies such as “Superboys Of Malegaon” (2024), “Love In Vietnam” (2025) and “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva” (2022).
