Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Enters $1 Million Club For First Day In USA Market; Set to Beat Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’

Ranveer Singh-starrer “Dhurandhar 2” is creating and shattering several box-office records even before its arrival in the cinema halls. While the spy-actioner has already emerged as the highest Bollywood grosser in paid previews, beating “Stree 2” by a huge margin, the film is now on the verge of achieving a similar milestone in the USA market.
“Dhurandhar 2” has grossed $686,005 across 584 Locations from 1,129 shows with 42,899 Tickets in the USA market, as per Venky Box Office. While the opening day of the advance sales is $1 million, the first weekend numbers are $1.95 million. By today or tomorrow, the movie will surpass Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal ($1.2 million) to emerge as the biggest Bollywood opener of all time in the USA.

With 9 days to go, the film is set to score one of the biggest premiere advance sales for an Indian film in the market.
Apart from Singh, "Dhurandhar 2" also sees R. Madhavan (as Ajay Sanyal), Arjun Rampal (as Major Iqbal), Sanjay Dutt (as SP Chaudhary Aslam), Rakesh Bedi (as Jameel Jamali), Danish Pandor (as Uzair Baloch) and Sara Arjun (as Yalina Jamali) among others reprising their roles.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, it is bankrolled by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios. Unlike the prequel, the spy action thriller will also be released in dubbed versions of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film is set to hit the screens on March 19 and will lock horns with Pawan Kalyan-starrer “Ustaad Bhagat Singh.”
