‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 9: Karan Johar Confirms This Is The Final Season In Emotional Video
Karan Johar-hosted talk show has announced the release date for “Koffee with Karan” Season 9. The director has confirmed that the show is all set to premiere its last season on October 14. In an emotional video shared by JioHotstar on September 30, the 54-year-old shared the update with the fans of the show.
“This is more an emotional message than a professional announcement,” Johar recalls his conversation with his father from June 2004 about wanting to start his own talk show. His initial idea was to get two celebrities or stars to have an informal conversation with them. “Karan, you’re going to call your friends, chat with them. You do that every day. Who’s going to pay you to do that?” He reveals Yash Johar’s words to him.
He reminisces the past 22 years, 8 seasons and 161 episodes later where he invited “lovers, friends and families” to even having ex-lovers who went on to get married as well as nearly ending careers of national icons. Announcing the end to the show, he talks about receiving many good things thanks to the show, “This will be my very last season of ‘Koffee with Karan’. There will be trolls, there will be comments, there will be posts. I’m ready to take all of that. But within all of that and beneath all of that, I know that there is still abundant love for this cup of Koffee.”
